Is My Baby Breech

First off, do not stress. Usually fewer than 5% of babies remain breech at delivery time.

Healthcare providers may get concerned around weeks 35-36 and request an ultrasound to confirm position.

If you are prior to week 32, promote baby turning by:

  • Walking 7,000-10,000 steps daily
  • Calf stretches after walks
  • Front lunge stretches
  • Psoas release
  • Modified cat-cow exercises

If at weeks 35-36 and still breech, try:

  • Spinning Babies exercises
  • Acupuncture and moxa with a naturopath or TCM practitioner
  • Chiropractic or osteopathic care
  • Pelvic floor physiotherapy

Give it until week 39-40 before planning a c-section. If you go into labour before your planned date, go to the hospital and see if an ECV can be done.

Remember there is no wrong way to have your baby.
